Governor’s Mansion
The Governor’s Mansion was built in the late 19th century and has been the official residence of the state governor through the 1960s. This mansion is filled with many different furnishings from the governor’s different families throughout the years. You also get to learn about the famous people who have lived there and what their lives where like.

Old Sacramento Living History Walking Tour

California State Capitol Museum
Here you will find antique furnishings and portraits of previous governors, exquisite architecture and rich political history along with a theater and gift shop to browse.

Sacramento Zoo
This zoo houses over 400 animals. They even have rare species, such as the snow leopard and red panda. Additionally at the zoo there is a butterfly and hummingbird garden. The zoo has lectures and tours available to boot!

Sutter’s Fort
The historic adobe compound has been the location of gold discoveries, a trade colony, the first non-Native American community of the area, and has also served as a way station along the California Trail.
